P88-P188-P388 Seat Sale

Tomorrow, November 21, 2011, will be the last day of Cebu Pacific's P88-P188-P388 seat sale.  I already made my own booking... at 3 o'clock in the morning!  How's that?!

P8 Seat Sale

Today, November 20, 2011, is the last day of Air Philippines' P8 seat sale.  I was kinda disappointed though that when I tried to check how much a promo ticket would actually cost me, inclusive of taxes and incidental charges, the checkout counter computed a total of P1000+! (I'll check at the office tomorrow if I have saved a screenshot of that, and I promise I'll show it here to prove my point).

Whoaa! From P8 to P1000+?!!!  Is there some kind of misleading marketing strategy here just to lure unsuspecting customers?

If I remember it right, I was able to book a P10 promo ticket last year, for Manila to Surigao route and from the same airline company, for an all-inclusive rate of approximately P125 only.

There must be an explanation for this! To whom it may concern, my blog is open for your comments/justifications... that is, if you care to enlighten my confused mind...

Laoag Sale

I haven't been to Laoag.  I guess the farthest place I've been to, up north (within Philippines, I must say), is Baguio City.

This seat sale is too hard to resist!  And I only have until before midnight to decide whether to go or to let go.. :(

P998 Sale

I practically sacrificed spending New Year's Day with my family just to be able to save about three thousand bucks.  Hence, I booked myself for a flight back to Manila on December 31, 2011 on a promo fare.  The savings I would get would at least help in paying for my regular-fare ticket, which price by the way, has skyrocketed to a whooping minimum rate of P5,000 for a December 23, 2011 flight to Surigao.

The P5k is too much.  But I have other options, you know.  What about taking a roro trip or perhaps a Superferry considering that it has been years since my last boat ride?  Not a bad idea, don't you think? ;)
